ProFix Drain & Hydrojet is a highly recommended team of plumbing pros... From the initial estimate to the full completion of work, Greg and his team were professional, clean, courteous and thoughtful. Our problem was a broken, partially buried bathroom drain pipe for the toilet that initially was blocked due to root intrusion and the resulting buildup. Estimates ranged from $1,200 for the smallest, most basic fix of just the broken section... to $6,700 to replace almost all the drain pipes (some buried) for two sinks, a tub and the toilet, including the toilet flange, venting, and breaking into interior walls (possible asbestos!). This one was the nuclear option which we weren't keen on doing as it seemed very unnecessary. Backing up to the beginning, our first estimate came from our usual plumber (not ProFix), and he only gave us one choice, the nuclear option. That's when we decided to get second & third opinions from other plumbers, including ProFix. Upon my request and recognizing we didn't necessarily need to replace everything, the other, second plumber gave us three options including the nuclear option, but two less expensive routes, which were appreciated. But it was their just-business attitude that left us wanting more and distrusting their words. Then Greg and ProFix came over for the third plumbing quote and it was pretty clear right from the beginning that I really "wanted" these guys to do the work. Being a hospitality professional myself, many industries and professions can learn something from high-end hotels and restaurants, when it comes to the way they treat and work with their own customers & prospects, as if they are valued guests. A little professionalism and courtesy goes a very long way... the bow on top, the icing on the cake, the extra cherry and a wink... with no hands out to expect anything more ($) in return. Long story short, these guys deserve a chance to earn your business. I'm glad we went with them and are super satisfied. Here are some of my notes taken while they were working: * Super courteous, always explained everything before they did it, even the noises to expect. * Very cautious about leading dirt into the house, and laid down new, disposable tarps throughout the interior work area. At the end, they took great care in rolling them up so that no dirt fell from tarp onto floors. * Showed up in clean uniforms, very well groomed, but ready to get dirty under the house. Used multiple disposable Tyvek coveralls to keep themselves clean and replaced when necessary. * Three guys working on the job when needed, but mostly two, everyone was always doing something. * Honest, up front, wants to share as much information as possible, including video, and saving the broken pipes for me to see (pretty common but noteworthy nonetheless). * The cold water supply line to the toilet was replaced, since it was old and could have broken at any time... I saw this myself. This was done at no additional charge. * Cleaned and sanitized the bathroom workspace afterwards. Not just swept, they literally cleaned my bathroom. * Some of the old cast-iron pipes above and beyond the original scope of the repair were replaced, but at no additional charge. * Job finished, quite a few additional things were done but they stuck with the estimate, never asked for anything more. Those items were done voluntarily by Greg. * A job well done!
